Apple iPad 2 Announcement: New Features, Price, Release Date

On the Apple’s iPad 2 Press Event, March 2, Apple has finally unveiled their iPad 2 tablet and announced that this device will be first available on March 11 in USA and then will be sold in other 26 countries from March 25.

What’s new in the iPad 2?

The new iPad 2 is more than 33% thinner than the original iPad tablet, just 8.8mm thickness, making it thinner even than the iPhone 4. And it only weights 1.3 lbs, .2 pounds less than the original iPad.

It sports A5 Processor for a 2x faster CPU speed and 9x faster graphics speed with the power consumption of the original A4 chip.

It has Front and Back Cameras, as well as a built-in gyroscope.

It comes in both black version and white version.

It houses with iPad Smart Cover, not only protecting your iPad screen without covering up its durable aluminum back, but also waking up, standing up, and brightening up your iPad.

It will be available on Verizon and AT&T’s cellular networks.

It supports Facetime video calling and Photobooth self-portraits.

It supports HDMI-out via a $39 video dongle.

It will be stocked with the latest version of iOS, iOS 4.3, which also will be launched on March 11.

It has more than 65,000 iPad apps

It carries with iMovie & GarageBand ($4.99)
